ပံုထဲက ငမန္းေလးက ဆိုတယ္ ။

I am thinking of brushing up on my English .
ငါ အဂၤလိပ္စကား ၿပန္ေလ႕လာဖုိ႕ လုပ္ေနတယ္ ကြ
( brush up on = ၿပန္ေႏြးသည္ ၊ ၿပန္သတိရေအာင္ လုပ္သည္ ။ )

ကဲ....ကိုယ္တုိ႕လည္း သိၿပီးသား ၿဖစ္ေလာက္တဲ႕ Phrasal verb ေတြကို ၿပန္ေႏြးၾကမယ္ ။
Let's brush up on the phrasal verbs that you might have already known.

Make sense = အဓိပၸါယ္ရွိသည္ ။ ယုတၱိရွိသည္ ။
Your story doesn't make sense .မင္းဇာတ္လမ္းက ယုတၱိမရွိ ။

add up = အဓိပၸါယ္ ရွိသည္ ။ ယုတၱိရွိသည္ ။
It's difficult to believe her. What she is saying doesn't add up.
သူမကို ယံုဖို႕ခက္တယ္ ။ ေၿပာေနတာေတြက အဓိပၸါယ္ မရွိ

come up with = အၾကံအစည္ ၊ စိတ္ကူး ရသည္ ။
She has come up with a really good idea.

You should come up with the solution by tomorrow. မနက္ၿဖန္ေနာက္ဆံုးထားၿပီး မင္း အေၿဖ ထုတ္သင္႕တယ္ ။

do without = ( တစ္ခုခုကို မသံုးရ မစြဲရ မစားရဘဲ ရွင္သန္ ) ေနႏိုင္သည္ ။
I can't do without a cup of coffee in the morning.
မနက္တုိင္း ေကာ္ဖီ မေသာက္ရဘဲ မေနႏိုင္ပါ ။

We've just finished sugar and the shops are closed by now, so we will have to do without it.
ခုတင္ဘဲ သၾကားကုန္သြားလုိ႕ ၊ ဆိုင္ေတြကလည္း ခုေလာက္ဆို ပိတ္ကုန္ၿပီ ။ မသံုးဘဲ ေနရမွာဘဲ ။

come up to = ( ေမ်ွာ္လင္႕ထားတဲ႕ အတိုင္း ) ေကာင္းသည္ ။
The restaurant didn't come up to our expectations.
စားေသာက္ဆိုင္က ထင္သေလာက္ မေကာင္းဘူးေနာ္ ။

live up to = ( come up to နဲ႕ အဓိပါယ္ ဆင္ပါတယ္ )
I really want to live up to the expectations of my parents.
ငါ႕မိဘေတြ ငါ႕အေပၚထားတဲ႕ ေမ်ွာ္လင္႕ထားခ်က္ေတြအတိုင္း တကယ္ ၿပည္႕၀ေအာင္ ေနခ်င္တယ္ ။

The concert was brilliant - it lived up to all our expectations. ပြဲက သိပ္ေကာင္းတာဘဲေနာ္ ။ ငါတုိ႕ ေမ်ွာ္လင္႕ထားတဲ႕အတိုင္းပါဘဲ ။

I ran into my teacher at the movies last night.
မေန႕ညက ရုပ္ရွင္ရံုမွာ ဆရာနဲ႕ အမွတ္မထင္ ေတြ႕တယ္ ။

------ေရွ႕က သင္ခန္းစာ ၁ ၊ ၂ ၊ ၃ ၊ ၄ နဲ႕ကို ၾကည္႕ရင္း ပိုၿပီး ေရလည္သြားေအာင္ ဒီပို႕စ္မွာ ဥပမာ နည္းနည္း ေပးထားတာပါ ။ အသံုးမ်ားတဲ႕ Phrasal verbs ေတြကို ေနာက္ပို႕စ္မ်ားမွာ ထပ္ထည္႕ေပးသြားပါမယ္---------
