အႏိၵယ ဘုရင္ တစ္ပါး က လႈဒါန္းထား တာ ျဖစ္ ၿပီး ၊ အခု ေခာတ္နဲ ့ ဆို ပါကစၥတန္ ႏိုင္ငံ ပက္ရွ၀ါ ျပည္နယ္ ေလာက္ မွာ ျမတ္ ဗုဒၶ က အလႈခံ ခဲ့ တာ လို ့ သမိုင္း ပညာရွင္ ေတြ က ဆို ပါတယ္။

၁၈ ရာစုႏွစ္ ေရွးေဟာင္း သုေတသန နဲ ့ ၿဗိတိသွ် သမိုင္း ပညာရွင္ Alexander Cunningham က သူရဲ ့ မွတ္တမ္း မွာ သပိတ္ ေတာ္ ႀကီး အိႏိၵယ မွာ ဆင္နဲ ့ သယ္စဥ္ က ဆင္ က သပိတ္ရဲ ့ အေလးခ်ိန္ ကို မခံ ႏိုင္လို ့ ယိုင္လဲ သြား တယ္ လို ့ ဆို ပါတယ္။

အႏိၵယ က သပိေတာ္ ႀကီး ကို ျပန္ေတာင္း မွာ ျဖစ္ သလို ၀ိတုိရိယ ဘုရင္ မႀကီး က ၁၈၇၇ ခုႏွစ္ မွာ သူဟာ အႏိၵယ ျပည့္ ရွင္ အျဖစ္ ေၾကျငာ ေတာ့ သရဖူ အလည္ က ၁၀၅ ကာရက္ ရွိ တဲ့ စိန္ႀကီး ကို လည္း ျပန္ေတာင္းမွာ ျဖစ္ ပါတယ္။

အိႏၵိယ က အာဖဂန္ နစၥတန္ မွာ ရွိ ေနတဲ့ ဗုဒၶ အေမြ အႏွစ္ ေတြ ျပန္ရ ေအာင္ႀကိဳး ပမ္း မႈ ဟာ ၂၀၀၁ ခုႏွစ္ မွာ တာလီဘန္ က ဗုဒၶ ေရွးေဟာင္း ဆင္းတုေတာ္ ႀကီး ကို ဗံုးခြဲ ၿဖိဳ ခ် ၿပီး ကတည္း က ျဖစ္ ပါတယ္။

India eyes return of 'Buddha's begging bowl' from Afghanistan

NEW DELHI - Indian archeologists are being sent to Kabul to study a "begging bowl" said to have been used by Buddha in a first step aimed at bringing the artifact back to India, an official said.
The huge stone vessel, weighing nearly 400 kilograms (880 pounds), is currently displayed at the National Museum of Afghanistan and is regarded as an important relic in the Buddhist religion.
The two experts will examine the piece after demands in the national parliament last year for the return of the bowl which the state-run Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) believes belongs to India.
"We will be sending two experts to Kabul to examine the bowl. We are very much in favor of bringing it back to India," ASI additional director general B. R. Mani told AFP late Monday.
"They will examine if the raw material has been sourced locally from one of the Afghan cities. If not, it will strengthen our claim that it belongs to us," Mani said.
India's attempt to reclaim the bowl follows efforts to have other artifacts returned from around the world, including the Kohinoor diamond -- the centerpiece of the British crown jewels.
